MESSAGE:

If you find it difficult to hear the voice of God, you may need to look inward and carry out a seIf-examination. Many of us do not hear from God because we do not obey Him fully. With one hand, we are holding on to God and with the other hand we are holding on to the world. No one can have both at the same time. If you are with Christ, you’ll have to be with Him completely and go all the way for Him. God may refuse to speak to someone because He has found a substitute. In 1 Samuel 3:1-10 , there is the story of when God spoke to Samuel for the first time.

Eli the Priest was there but God did not talk to him. It was Samuel that heard the voice of God because God had found him as a substitute for Eli. You must examine yourself as often as possible. Weigh your actions, thoughts and words by the standard laid in the Bible. God loves you and would love to speak with you always, but He cannot withstand sin. Beware!.

Key Point:

List out the things you know God doesn’t like that you do, ask God to help you do away with them today.

Hymn: When We Walk With The Lord

When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
