Bible Reading: Revelation 7:1-3
- And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
- And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
- Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Bible Reading In One Year: Isaiah 65-66; 2 Thessalonians 1:1-12
MESSAGE:
Your dressing says a lot about you. It is unfortunate that many fellows are being deceived today into thinking that their dressing doesn’t matter since God looks at the heart. Well, it is true that God looks at the heart, but if you are truly godly, your heart will propel you to dress appropriately. lf as a child of God, you dress like the child of the devil, you might not have the seal that will protect you from stray bullets sent from the kingdom of God or darkness as seen in today’s passage.
Some years ago, I went to Aba (East Nigeria) to minister and l was presented with the attire of an lgbo chief. To show appreciation, I wore the attire and put on the cap. I was also driven to the airport in a Mercedez Benz car. On the way, armed robbers accosted us. They entered the car with a gun to my throat and asked the driver to drive on until we entered a bush. There, l was stripped of everything, leaving my singlet, trouser and shoes. Then they left us to go. As they left, I asked God, Where are my guardian angels?. And the Lord answered, You didn’t dress like a Pastor, but you dressed like the chief they were looking for.
Key Point:
Dress the way you want to be addressed.
