MESSAGE

At the age of twelve, Jesus was in deep conversations with the Pharisees where He challenged their line of thoughts about the laws of God. His contributions were so unimaginable for His age that everyone who heard Him speak, marvelled. Even the Pharisees had to acknowledge Him as their peer by calling Him Rabbi which means Teacher.

For anyone to become a teacher, he/she must have acquired a level of knowledge and must have adept understanding of a subject which is higher than that of his/her students. This was evident in Jesus life as its not a function of age.

However, nowadays, teachers who will explain the true word of God are needed to mentor and set people on the right path so that they will not sin against Him. It is your duty as a believer to teach others what you know about Jesus and you can only do this adequately, if you know more of God daily by studying His word and having deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

KEY POINT
How much of Gods word do you know?

HYMN: LEAD US HEAVENLY FATHER

Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
o’er the world’s tempestuous sea;
guard us, guide us, keep us, feed us,
for we have no help but Thee;
yet possessing every blessing,
if our God our Father be.

Savior, breathe forgiveness o’er us:
all our weakness Thou dost know;
Thou didst tread this earth before us,
Thou didst feel its keenest woe;
lone and dreary, faint and weary,
through the desert Thou didst go.

Spirit of our God, descending,
fill our hearts with heavenly joy,
love with every passion blending,
pleasure that can never cloy:
thus provided, pardoned, guided,
nothing can our peace destroy.
