MEMORISE: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Romans 12:11
READ: Ecclesiastes 12:1
1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 27-29, Luke 17:1-37
MESSAGE:
The first expression of Gods purpose for a life is usually within the context of the persons immediate environment. Whenever I see young people use their skills in various departments in church, I’m happy because one, it puts them in an environment where they can be guided, mentored and trained. Two, it serves as a platform where they can discover their life’s purpose. The Bible says:
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;” Ecclesiastes 12:1.
If you are a child of God and you are yet to join the workforce in your church, I advise you to join today. You are still young and agile. Follow your area of interest and join a suitable unit.
KEY POINT:
To become great in Gods hand, seek service before greatness
HYMN: All To Jesus I Surrender
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
CHORUS
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame;
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!
