  2. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
  3. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Bible Reading In One Year: Job 16-18; Acts 9:1-43

MESSAGE:

The Bible likens a person who trusts in the Lord to a tree planted by the river side (Jeremiah 17:8 ). Proximity to water secures a tree of continuous sustenance. The tree beside the water can access regular supply of needed water and minerals and as a result will live longer and be more fruitful than trees in other locations. This means your faith and trust in God not only guarantees your protection but also guarantees your satisfaction and fruitfulness. The extent to which you trust in God determines where you are placed; the desert, a residential area or the riverside.

Dear child, it is not too early to learn to trust in God. Gods plan for you is that you should trust Him completely. He wants you to trust Him so much so that you place all of your eggs in a basket (Him). He becomes your only option, it is either He helps you or you sink. When you trust God this way, it is absolutely for your benefit. You will be contented because you will be nourished, you will be peaceful, water will always be available for your cleansing, you will be established in the easiest of ways, and you will remain fruitful till Jesus returns.

Key Point:

When your heart is fixed on God, He will| make sure nothing moves you.

Hymn: My Faith Looks Up To Thee

My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Saviour divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away;
O let me from this day
Be wholly Thine.

May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire;
As Thou hast died for me,
O may my love to Thee
Pure, warm, and changeless be,
A living fire.

While life’s dark maze | tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.

When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold, sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll,
Blest Saviour, then in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
O bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul.
