TOPIC: 1440 Minutes Change

MEMORISE: And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. 1 Chronicles 12:32

READ: 2 Kings 7:1-2

Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 53-55, Acts 27:26-44

MESSAGE:

Where was a great famine in Samaria and the king cried to Prophet Elisha. God sent Elisha to tell the King that there would be a complete turnaround within 1440 minutes. The second in command to the King said even if God were to open the windows of heaven, the supply would never go round everyone. He spoke reality because at that time, people had started eating their children. It was on this premise that the officer spoke and doubted God’s word and Elisha said he’d see the prophecy come true but would not eat of it. It happened so.

Beloved, don’t speak ignorantly when prophecies come forth from true Prophets and Pastors. If you don’t believe it, its best to keep quiet because whatever you say may be used against you by the devil. When Sarah doubted the promise of a child, she laughed and when she was asked whether she doubted, she denied it (Genesis 18:12-15). Learn from Sarah. Don’t be caught in the web of unbelief so you don’t miss out on God’s blessings.

KEY POINT: Never speak ill against any prophecy.

HYMN: Let Us With A Gladsome Mind

Let us with a gladsome mind
Praise the Lord for He is kind;
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Let us sound His name abroad,
For of gods He is the God;
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

He, with all-commanding might,
Filled the new-made world with light;
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

All things living He doth feed,
His full hand supplies their need;
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

He His chosen race did bless
In the wasteful wilderness;
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

He hath with a piteous eye
Looked upon our misery;
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Let us with a gladsome mind
Praise the Lord for He is kind.
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.
