MESSAGE:
Creativity is the birthright of every child of God. It can be expressed through spoken or written words, technological interventions, medical researches, financial solutions et cetera. One of the ways to show that you resemble your Heavenly Father who created the world out of nothing is by being creative, so, if you’re not creating something, you’re performing below His expectation.
Don’t doubt your ability to create. Whatever makes you uncomfortable in a system is probably a pointer to where your creativity lies. For example, one of my sons in the Lord graduated from the University and couldn’t get a good job, but he had been seeing children playing around in the compound after school. He gathered them and started an after-school tutorial. When their performance improved in their schools, more parents brought their children to him. Soon, the children became too many for him to handle, so he employed a teacher and another until the afterschool turned into a full-time school. His creativity was expressed through a problem he identified in his environment. Your environment is not a limiting factor, it is your starting point of expression.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, help me to find and use my creativity for Your glory.
HYMN 8: Lead Us Heavenly Father
Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
o’er the world’s tempestuous sea;
guard us, guide us, keep us, feed us,
for we have no help but Thee;
yet possessing every blessing,
if our God our Father be.
Saviour, breathe forgiveness o’er us:
all our weakness Thou dost know;
Thou didst tread this earth before us,
Thou didst feel its keenest woe;
lone and dreary, faint and weary,
through the desert Thou didst go.
Spirit of our God, descending,
fill our hearts with heavenly joy,
love with every passion blending,
pleasure that can never cloy:
thus provided, pardoned, guided,
nothing can our peace destroy.
