Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

MESSAGE:
Any teenager who doesn’t want to be limited in life must acquire knowledge from various sources. Many world leaders are those who are vast in knowledge; they know a bit about everything so they can fit into different situations and still carve a niche for themselves. The instruction in today’s memory verse is, learn from ordinary ants which are in many ways wiser than humans. This means there are people who are younger than you are, yet, exhibit a measure of wisdom you haven’t attained. You will only be able to learn from them if you become humble and friendly.
A good lesson to learn from the ant is that your size should not affect your performance or achievements in life. Don’t see your age, size or disability as a limitation. It does not matter whether you are an albino or sickle cell anaemic, you can do big things; don’t limit yourself. Never look down on yourself or anyone.
PRAYER POINT: In the name of Jesus, I declare that I will be very great.
HYMN: I’M PRESSING ON THE UPWARD WAY
I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground”.
CHORUS
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith on heaven’s table-land;
Where love and joy and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
My heart has no desire to stay,
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My constant aim is higher ground.
Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
To rest beneath unclouded skies,
Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
By those who dwell on higher ground.
I long to scale the utmost height,
Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
My song while climbing shall resound
Lord lead me on to higher ground.
Lord lead me up the mountain side,
I dare not climb without my Guide;
And heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
With grateful heart from higher ground.
