MESSAGE

Your inner circle refers to the people your late with constantly, who have so much influence on your behavior, attitude and general way of doing things.

Someone once said the quality of your life in five years time will largely depend on the quality of your friends and the books you read. The best way to improve your life is to interact with people who are better than you in many things.

Many teenagers rest on their oars when they realize they are the best among their peers, so they don’t learn any new thing or get better at what they do.

I don’t ever want to be a local champion; this is why I relate more with the best person there is – the Holy Spirit and people who are more knowledgeable than I in different fields.

Prayerfully and carefully choose your inner circle because they have direct influence on your life and the direction of their lives will determine yours too. When choosing them, place priority on their spirituality, habits, attitude and expertise.

KEY POINT

Are your friends adding value to you or zapping it from you?

HYMN: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

  1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
    All our sins and griefs to bear;
    What a privilege to carry
    Ev’rything to God in prayer
Oh! what peace we often forfeit,
Oh! what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
    Everything to God in prayer.
  2. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrow share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Saviour still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
