Open Heavens for Teens Monday 9 December 2019 Daily Devotional was written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Topic: More Than Conquerors

MEMORISE: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” – 1 John 4:4

Read: Romans 8:37-39

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Hosea 1-4; Jude 1

MESSAGE:

If while preparing for a fight, God shows you at the end, you were declared winner, you will approach such a fight with confidence. Even if the fight starts and you receive punches that put you down, you will console yourself with the picture of the end that you have already seen. Your determination to win will remain intact. Romans 8:37 says we are conquerors, in other words, no matter the battles we face, even if the opponent is a renowned conqueror, we will win. This alone should give you courage.

Step into that exam hall with confidence because you are more than a conqueror. Register for that scholar because you are more than conqueror. Go for that competition with confidence because you are more than a conqueror. You must note that you are only more than a conqueror if God is your ally; you need to give your life to Him and always seek Hus guidance on how to tackle any obstacle on your way.

KEY POINT: Nothing is impossible to you if God is your ally.

Hymn 9: I am so glad that our Father in heaven

1 I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tells of His love in the book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see;
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

Chorus
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus love me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.

2 Though I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me whenever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms would I flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.

3 Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be,
“Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me.”
