Topic: Money II
Memorise: “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.” – Proverbs 10:22
Read: Ecclesiastes 5:10
Bible In One Year: Leviticus 13, Matthew 26:20-54
MESSAGE:
Many who got money through questionable means now regret it because to maintain their money, they now have to continue doing evil and the evil that men do always live after them. Besides, they get the money but eventually become miserable and empty on the inside because money does not satisfy (Ecclesiastes 5:10)
If you think deeply about your life, you will agree with me that God has been very good to you. Do not disappoint Him by committing sin just to get money. Judas Iscariot got money by disappointing Jesus Christ after all that Jesus had taught and done for him. He became as miserable and empty that he never got to spend the money. If Judas Iscariot had been told how he would feel after committing such a sin for money, he would definitely have made a better choice. Have you been involved in getting money through devious or immoral means? Call on Jesus in repentance now so that He can erase your past and you can live a better life. If you have never involved yourself with immorality and deviousness, I rejoice with you, please remain far from the lure of the devil through money.
Key Point: It will profit you nothing if you gain the whole world and lose your soul.
Hymn 3: There shall be showers of blessing
1.There shall be showers of blessing
This is the promise of love;
There shall be season refreshing
Sent from the Savior above
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy drop ’round are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
2.There shall be showers of blessing
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
3. There shall be showers of blessing
Send them upon us O Lord
Grant to us a refreshing;
Come now and honor Thy Word.
4. There shall be showers of blessing
Oh that today thy might fall,
Now as to God we are confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
