MESSAGE:

As teenagers, there are many things lined up for you to do; you are required to do exceptionally well in school, you are required to do house chores, to behave respectfully to elders and to act responsibly at all times. All these are aides planning your future and working towards having a successful life.

Life is a serious journey, and it is only those who know God’s plan and follow through such plans that will make it. Nothing happens by chance, you can only reap what you sow; making the right decisions and taking practical steps to achieve them will give you the future that you desire.

However, there is something more important than any of those things listed above. John 15:5 clearly states that without God, you can do nothing. For all your plans and efforts to produce the desired results, you have to recognize God as your source of success, without whom you are totally useless.

Prayer Point:Father, I proclaim that you are my source. Please help me to always look to you for all my plans in Jesus’ name.

Hymn 1: My faith looks up to Thee

  1. My faith looks up to Thee,
    Thou Lamb of Calvary,
    Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
    Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
    Be wholly Thine!
  2. May Thy rich grace impart
    Strength to my fainting heart,
    My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
    Pure, warm and changeless be,
    A living fire!
  3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
    And griefs around me spread,
    Be Thou my guide;
    Bid darkness turn to day,
    Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
    Nor let me ever stray
    From Thee aside.
