Topic: He Knows Everything

Memorise: “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.” – Psalms 147:4

Read: Psalms 147:4-5

4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Bible In One Year: Job 7-9, Acts 7:44-60

MESSAGE:

God is so knowledgeable that man cannot scratch the billionth speck of His knowledge. Matthew 10:30 says that he numbered the hair strands on the head of the 7 billion people in the world. Psalm 147:4 says God know the number is stars in the sky and He even knows them all by name.

He is omniscient. If you are doing something that is not of God’s will, or engaging in illicit acts, you may hide if Rom your parents, teachers and friends, but you can’t hide it from God; He knows and sees all. He can even hear your thoughts. My advice to you is that you stop any secret sin that you are involved in because God sees you and will soon bring the consequences of that sin upon you. He said in Luke 8:17 that there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; imagine the shame when He exposes that dirty secret of yours. Confess that sin to Him right away, and promise Him that you will desist from it

Key Point: The closer you get to God, the more knowledge He will share with you.

Hymn 8: Immortal, invisible, God only wise

1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,

In light inaccessible hid from our eyes

Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of days,

Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,

Nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might;

Thy justice like mountains high soaring above,

Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

3. To all life thou givest to both great and small;

In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;

We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,

And wither and perish, but nought changeth Thee.

4. Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light,

Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;

All laud we would render; o help us to see;

‘Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee.

5. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,

In light inaccessible hid from our eyes

Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of days,

Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.
