MESSAGE:
If you do not know the purpose of your existence, you will look down on yourself and envy those who should be envying you. Perception is the key to discovery, possession and recovery. How you see a thing affects it response to you, your response to it and the response of others to it. It is very crucial for you to see things from the right perspective or else, you will become a victim of poor perception.
When the Israelites were sent to spy out the Promised Land, what the spies saw totally distinguished them. What you focus on is what determine the end of a matter. For ten of the spies, all they saw was trouble and obstacles, and what they saw became their undoing. The two other spies focused instead on their mighty God and what they knew He could do, and they had victory. Each time you focus on the problem, you cannot see or appreciate the solution even when it is right before your eyes.
Action Point: Ask God for the grace to always see something good in bad situations even when others don’t.
Hymn 1:
1. My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!
2. May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm and changeless be,
A living fire!
3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.
4. When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Savior, then, in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul.
