TOPIC: ADAPT TO NEW THINGS
MEMORISE: Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19
BIBLE READING ISAIAH 43:18-19
- Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
- Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
MESSAGE
Two years ago, a major shift hit the world which made it necessary for many people to change their mode of operation. Business owners, Church leaders and even school administrators moved their activities online in order to keep serving their customers/ audiences.
In fact, I utilized that period to connect with other children of God from the comfort of my home on Sunday mornings and Holy Ghost services using various media platforms. This would not have been possible if I couldn’t adapt to change.
The fact remains that in life, change is inevitable. If you insist on using archaic methods to achieve new feats, you may be stuck. A wise man once said doing things the old way and expecting new results is foolishness.
Therefore, you must learn to adapt to change as long as it will not make you to sin against God. If anyone is complaining about your attitude or character, don’t insist that it is who you are. Ask God to help you and make deliberate efforts to change genuinely.
KEY POINT: Do you easily adapt to new methods or environments?
Hymn: O LORD, OUR HELP IN AGES PAST
- O Lord, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast,
and our eternal home: - Under the shadow of your throne,
your saints have dwelt secure;
sufficient is your arm alone,
and our defense is sure. - Before the hills in order stood,
or earth received her frame,
from everlasting you are God,
to endless years the same. - A thousand ages in your sight
are like an evening gone;
short as the watch that ends
the night before the rising sun.
