MESSAGE:
The worship session is the most important part of any meeting with God. In fact worship is a meal that God enjoys so much. Sadly, it has been taken for granted not only by the congregation, but also by the choristers. These days, people would rather concentrate on the melody of the song and the sonorous voice of the worship leader than the lyrics and the message of the song. A beautiful voice is not the qualification to be in the choir. If you lead worship and the presence of God is not felt, you are not different from a talented singer.
A true worshipper is one who worships God in spirit and truth because he or she has been baptised by the Holy Spirit. Any worship outside the Holy Spirit is mere entertainment. It is therefore important that every believer is baptised by the Holy Spirit because it is only then that we can give God acceptable worship.
KEY POINT:
Who are you modeling your life after?
HYMN 1: All Hail The Power Of Jesus’ Name!
1.All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ name!
Let angels prostrate fall,
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all.
2.Crown Him, ye martyrs of our God,
Who from His altar call;
Extol the stem of Jesse’s rod.
And crown Him Lord of all.
3.Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race.
A remnant weak and small,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all.
4.Ye Gentile sinners, ne’er forget
The wormwood and the gall;
Go, spread your trophies at His feet,
And crown Him Lord of all.
5.Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all.
