Topic: Divine Disinfectant

Bible Reading: 1 Peter 2:22-25 (NIRV)
22 Scripture says, “He didn’t commit any sin. No lies ever came out of his mouth.”
23 People shouted at him and made fun of him. But he didn’t do the same back to them. He suffered. But he didn’t say that bad things would happen to them. Instead, he trusted in the One who judges fairly.
24 He himself carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did it so that we would die as far as sins are concerned. Then we would lead godly lives. His wounds have made you whole.
25 You were like sheep who were wandering away. But now you have returned to the Shepherd. He is the Leader of your souls.

MESSAGE:
One of the benefits of the new covenant is total healing. Our Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for us to receive divine healing when He was beaten by professionals with a scourge. His body was broken and blood oozed out of it.
It is true that divine health is as a result of a new covenant in Christ and it is free for all those who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. However, to access and maintain it, you have to live righteously. So if you live in sin, you will not enjoy divine health which has been made available through the blood of Christ. In 1977, we travelled to Ilorin for a Congress. The town was hit by a acute water shortage. The only available water for bathing was from a very dirty stream filled with germs. The brother that fetched me the water apologized and gave me a bottle of disinfectant. I was about to pour the disinfectant into the water when God spoke to me saying, Son, don’t use the disinfectant. I want to send you as an ambassador to all nations, you will still meet water worse than this in other nations. Plead the blood of Jesus on the water and all the germs will die. I obeyed by faith. Today, I am a living witness that the blood of Jesus is the best disinfectant.
