Teens Open Heavens Saturday 24 November 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye
Topic: Raw Materials Needed
Memorise: And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man. Genesis 2:22
Read: Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 (KJV)
Bible In One Year: Ezekiel 32-33, 1 Peter 1
MESSAGE:
One lesson from Genesis 2:21-24 is that Adam made a contribution towards Eve’s existence. Another lesson here is that when God asks you to sow, He may tell you where and when you will harvest the benefits of that seed. All you should do is simply obey. You can sow a seed and it can bring you increased anointing or divine grace. Your seed could pave way through academic defects or spiritual bondage.
Your seed is the raw material Heaven requires to make your finished product. Eve was the finished product that Adam got after he parted with something dear to him. God doesn’t have need for your gifts, you are the one who needs to sow for yourself. You may never know where your seed will speak for you: just trust the Lord. He knows what is best for you and He is acquainted with your needs. Keep on sowing.
Key Point: Sometimes, when you sow a seed in a particular area, Heaven may see the need you cannot see in another area and therefore apply it there.
Hymn 6: Our God, our help in ages past
1. Our God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home:
2. Under the shadow of your throne
Your saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is your arm alone,
And our defense is sure
3. Before the hills in order stood
Or earth received its frame,
From everlasting you are God,
To endless years the same.
4. A thousand ages in your sight
Are like an evening gone
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.
5. Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
Soon bears us all away;
We fly forgotten, as a dream
Does at the opening day.
6. Our God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Still be our guard while troubles last,
And our eternal home!
